Vučić Perović Wins the Golden Arena for Best Lead Actor in a Croatian Minority Co-Production at the 73rd Pula Film Festival

We are proud to announce that our client Vučić Perović won the Golden Arena for the Best Lead Actor in a Croatian Minority Co-Production at the 73rd Pula Film Festival for his remarkable performance as Dejan in Goran Stanković’s feature film OUR FATHER (Oče naš).

The jury recognized Perović with the prestigious award, stating:
“For an extraordinary, layered and physically transformative portrayal of an addict’s personal journey, achieved with exceptional acting strength and remarkable authenticity, the Golden Arena for the Best Lead Actor in a Croatian Minority Co-Production is awarded to Vučić Perović for his role as Dejan in OUR FATHER.”

Directed by Goran Stanković, OUR FATHER marks the director’s narrative feature debut. The film follows 32-year-old Dejan, who, after years of spiraling addiction, seeks refuge in a remote monastery commune led by a strict yet charismatic priest. Cut off from the outside world, the commune imposes recovery through labor, discipline, obedience and faith. As Dejan slowly begins the difficult journey toward healing, a disturbing video exposing violent practices within the community emerges, forcing him to choose between protecting the system that gave his life new meaning and confronting a truth he can no longer ignore.

Vučić Perović delivers a deeply immersive and emotionally charged performance, bringing extraordinary nuance and vulnerability to Dejan’s complex transformation. His portrayal has been recognized as one of the standout performances of this year’s festival, earning one of Croatian cinema’s highest acting honors.
