Zlatan Vidović receives the ‘Golden Plane Tree’ Award for his outstanding contribution to Euro-Mediterranean cinematography

Trebinje Mediterranean and European Film Festival Concluded Its 14th Edition with Awards Ceremony

The 14th Mediterranean and European Film Festival came to a successful close with a prestigious awards ceremony held at the Summer Stage of the Trebinje Youth Centre, celebrating outstanding achievements in European and Mediterranean cinema.

Our Slavic Artists client Zlatan Vidović received the ‘Golden Plane Tree’ Award for his outstanding contribution to Euro-Mediterranean cinematography and following the presentation of the award, Vidović formally declared the festival closed.

Accepting the prestigious recognition, Vidović described the award as both a significant honour and a responsibility.
“This is a great recognition, but also a great obligation. It confirms everything I have done so far, while encouraging me to continue my work. Looking at the distinguished artists who have received this award before me, I am truly honoured. Receiving this recognition came as a great surprise to me, but at the same time it carries a great responsibility. To me, this award is a sign that it has come from the right place, especially because Trebinje holds some of my most treasured memories,” said Vidović.

Over the course of its 14th edition, the Mediterranean and European Film Festival once again brought together filmmakers, actors, industry professionals and audiences from across the region, reaffirming its position as an important platform for celebrating cinematic excellence and fostering cultural exchange through the silver screen.
