SERBIAN ACTORS AT THE LONDON PREMIERE OF “ROBIN HOOD”
More than 20 Serbian actors share the screen with Sean Bean and Connie Nielsen
Slavic Artists Management, the first Serbian talent agency, proudly presents its clients who are part of the cast of the new television series Robin Hood, starring Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings) and Connie Nielsen (Gladiator).
Following the world premiere in Los Angeles, the cast and creative team gathered in London on Tuesday, October 28, while audiences can watch all episodes of the series on the MGM+ streaming platform, leading up to the grand finale on December 28.
The London premiere brought together actors, creators, and numerous industry guests — among them Slavic Artists Management’s clients Jelena Gavrilović, Tamara Radovanović, Davor Tomić, Matija Gredić, Mihailo Lazić, Emma Gojković, and Nikola Janković, alongside Sam Bell and Paul Leonard Murray. The cast also includes Miloš Timotijević, Tiana Upchev, Milena Predić, Miloš Cvetković, Milica Vrzić, Bruno Veljanovski and Bojana Smiljanić.

The bold new chapter of one of the world’s most beloved stories was directed by Jonathan English, with John Glenn as the series creator. The show has been described as “a fresh take on the classic tale of the charming outlaw who stole from the rich and gave to the poor — a thrilling, intelligent, epic, and romantic adventure that brings historical authenticity, psychological depth, and a stronger focus on the relationship between Robin and Marian.”
The production is a collaboration between Lionsgate, Hidden Pictures, and Balkanic Media, with the entire series filmed in Serbia — across the landscapes of Fruška Gora, Mount Rudnik, and at PFI Studios in Šimanovci.
Serbian cast members shared their impressions from the London premiere and their experiences on set:

Jelena Gavrilović described the premiere and filming as follows:
“The London premiere was a truly special experience — not only because ‘Robin Hood’ is one of those stories we all grew up with, but because this version feels so fresh, modern, and emotionally powerful. The first episode reminded me of how much love, adrenaline, and teamwork went into every frame. Filming was a real adventure — from the breathtaking locations to the amazing crew, everything had that rare cinematic magic. It’s wonderful to see more and more Serbian actors breaking into the international scene. I’m proud that agencies like Slavic exist, because they actively work to connect our local acting community with the global industry.”

Tamara Radovanović added:
“The London premiere was the highlight of my year — mainly because we were all together again. I missed the actors who live abroad, and celebrating our collective effort felt like the greatest reward. Watching the episode together in the cinema was emotional and joyful. This is a project we’re all proud of and grateful for, and that energy was palpable in London — lively, grand, and full of laughter. I think audiences will feel the same energy we poured into it. The Slavic agency has built a bridge between regional artists and the global film industry, opening doors for actors from our region to be seen internationally.”

Tiana Upcheva, who appears in the very first episode, shared:
“Working on Robin Hood was an incredible experience, and seeing the premiere fully justified the excitement that carried us throughout filming. In terms of both experience and production scale, this is one of the biggest projects ever shot in Serbia. Watching the results on screen was thrilling — the number of people involved was impressive, and despite the demanding nature of the work, our days were filled with laughter and camaraderie. I’m looking forward to seeing more familiar Serbian faces appear as the series unfolds!”
Nikola Janković, who shared his first scene with Sean Bean, recalled:
“We filmed for hours, and I held my ground. When the final take ended, I approached him, bowed, and thanked him. That was the beginning of something big — not just a project, but a process. Because this wasn’t just a film set — it was a school. The entire series was made in Serbia, and everything worth admiring in it was created by our people, whom I’m incredibly proud of. People often say we Serbs are always trying to prove something. But I don’t see it that way. We’re not proving we’re better — we’re proving that we can stand shoulder to shoulder. And we can play — and play well.”

Emma Gojković, who lives and works between Belgrade and London, said:
“The London premiere was wonderful. The series looks stunning — visually impressive, beautifully acted, and with every element at a very high standard. I was excited to take part in this project, but what I saw at the premiere exceeded all my expectations.”

The success of Robin Hood further confirms Serbia’s growing importance on the global production map, as local actors — with talent and support — continue to secure their place in international cinema.
